As an energetic practitioner, my journey began with a deep-rooted passion for understanding the body, mind, and spirit connection. Over the years, I have provided a variety of healing modalities, including soul coaching, guided meditations, intuitive counseling, facilitating women's support groups, and writing a self help book, to support individuals on their personal paths to wellness and self-discovery.
My passion for traveling to sacred sites began in 2012, to Stonehedge, England and the hill of Tara, Newgrange and Knowth in Ireland. Since then I followed Mary Magdelene's footsteps in 2018. My first morning in southwestern France, I looked at the picture of her I brought and had placed on the night stand. She spoke to me,"I am you and you are me." Later, I discovered in my studies with her, that that is one of her primary teachings inside her gospel. My first trip to Egyp's temples and pyramids along the Nile (which is a map of the Milkyway) was with Freddy Silva. I learned so much and cannot wait to go back. My second trip to France included a journey to sacred stones in Brittany, Sont St Michele, and then a retreat with speaker and author Kathleen McGowan, to learn about the Cathars and the Way of Love.
My pilgrimage to India focused on Sufi Saints and their transmissions from their darghas.
Returning from a few weeks in Turkeye, I can actually say that yes I am a Goddess! We are all mini gods and goddesses walking around on this planet- it just takes some sacred site soul retrieval to actually feel it and embody it.
Today, I enjoy being a space holder for personal transformation. By creating a sacred safe and healing space, my clients are able to experience a deep shift in their well being.
- I graduated from Cal Poly State University in 1991 with a Bachelors in Human Development, concentration in Applied Psychology. Counseling internships at Hospice, the Women's Shelter and Klein Bottle Youth programs.
- I graduated from Antioch University in Santa Barbara in 1993 with a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology.
- I became licensed in Denver Colorado in 1997 as a Licensed Professional Counselor (L. P. C.) I counseled families, children, and struggling single mothers on welfare in transitional housing. Empowering women was central.
- I started raising my family and put my career in Psychology on hold in 1998.
- After my divorce, I picked up where I left off in 2007, and began teaching Psychology for the University of Phoenix.
- I started my own Life Coaching practice in 2008.
- In 2012, I had my first solo journey to sacred sites in England and Ireland.
- In 2013, I created and guided support groups; "Women Starting Over"
- Author of "A New Leaf; 12 Spiritual Truths for Starting Over" I self-published my book in 2014.
- In 2014, I was given my spirit name: Water Dove Hawk during a ceremony in the Chumash tradition. A Medicine Woman went into Dreamtime for my name. She told me that I have all three essences (water, dove and hawk), and that they each are equally important. From that day forward I strive to embody this name.
- I led silent mediation group hikes to access local energetic portals on MeetUp.com in 2017.
- Travel to sacred sites and connecting to the land around the world (2017- present). I bring transmissions/activations from Mary Magdelene sites in France, Hathor and Isis in Egyptian temples, and St. Francis of Assisi, the ancient abby at Sont Saint Mischel in Britagne (among other sites such as Newgrange, Hill of Tara, stone circles at Stonehedge, Erdeven, Louqemador, and Carnac, and Entruscan land in Tuscany), Cathar country, and Sufi dargahs/shrines from New Delhi India into our sessions.
- August, 2020, my spiritual practice went a step deeper when I was initiated into the Sufi order and granted a Murshed/Guide, Gayan Gregory Long. He gave me my Sufi name: Rafia. It means The Exalter and is one of the 99 names of Allah in the Koran. Sufis can be described as mystics, friends of God and physicians of the heart. It's our intention always, to expand the capacity of the heart.
- In 2021, we began working on turning my book, A New Leaf, into an Audible version. It is narrated by the fabulous Rachel Fredrickson. In 2022 it was published on Audible.
- In 2022, I became Certified as an Energetic Practitioner of Aleya Dao's, Seven Cups of Consciousness. I use her energetic protocols in our sessions.
- Fall, 2022. Egypt immersion. Received transmissions from the Gods and Goddesses' temples; Hathor, Isis, Osirus, Horus, the lands of Elephant Isle., Kom Ombo, Saqqara. Giza: great pyramids including the king's chamber.
- Summer, 2023. France immersion. Received transmissions from the Megaliths in Brittangne, the Abby and the Isle of Sont Saint Michelle, the Cathars and their lands, the sacred Black Madonnas, and Mary Magdelene lands where she taught and prayed over the French in the Languedoc region.
- Winter, 2024. Pilgrimage to India to visit Sufi saint shrines and other sacred sites Near New Delhi and Bangelore.
- Fall, 2024. Pilgrimage to Goddess sites in Anatolia Turkeye; Ephesus, and Cybele. Konya to visit Rumi's shrine. Istanbul to see the Blue Mosque and Haga Sophia.
- Winter 2025. Up close and personal with Madame Pele on the big Island of Hawaii. Heart opening experience in Pahoa atop the crystaline lava bed.
- Spring 2025. Lead our native nation, the Chumash, song and dance at Dances for Universal Peace.
